“The only thing you have to offer another human being, ever, is your own state of being.” - Ram Dass
Finding an authentic voice and a steadier lane was life-changing. that lived experience shapes the care I offer and the respect I have for your pace.
My work is attachment-informed, trauma-focused, and grounded in the belief that change happens when we understand the “why” bEHIND our patterns.
That means we’re not just treating symptoms; we’re exploring how early relationships, lived experiences, and meaning-making shaped the ways you learned to navigate the world. My style is collaborative and relational, and I draw from a range of modalities, most often Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Interpersonal, and EMDR when appropriate.
And because therapy can sometimes feel like wading through wet cement, I use an appropriate amount of humor. A little levity goes a long way when we’re doing deep work. I value clear goals, making meaning out of confusion, building practical skills, cultivating curiosity, and updating treatment as your needs change. My aim is to make therapy feel safe, straightforward, and actually useful.
The constant bracing, overthinking, overworking, difficulty focusing on here and now, doubting every move you made.
Heavy mornings, no motivation, pulling away from people, snapping at the ones close to you, impatience, feeling stuck.
A pervasive feeling that everyone else gets it but you. Closeness feels risky, but solitude feels scary. Feeling not enough but sometimes too much.
The same fights on repeat, a teen who shuts you out or pushes back, and the worry that you've lost the thread with each other.
Trauma-informed protocol to process and integrate disturbing memories (with careful preparation and pacing).
I hold an M.A. in Psychology from Antioch University, am certified in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and am EMDRIA-trained in EMDR through Trauma Recovery/HAP (working toward certification).
My background includes community mental health work with children, teens, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. I currently offer tele-health therapy to adults and teens throughout California, and in-person sessions in Pasadena.
